The Base Indonesia Hackathon 2025 (Dec 10, 2025 – Jan 31, 2026) is a hackathon designed to help teams turn ideas into real, functional onchain products—and accelerate Indonesia’s Web3 ecosystem.
Hosted and operated by BlockDevId, supported by Base, IDRX & Thetanuts Finance, this hackathon gives teams the resources, guidance, and momentum needed to build and ship.
Overview
This hackathon brings together Indonesia’s strongest Web3 builders to create impactful applications on Base. Over the course of several weeks, teams receive mentorship, technical support, ecosystem connections, and the opportunity to pitch live for 6,000 USDC in prizes.
Mission:
Build real onchain products that solve real problems—and push Indonesia’s onchain future forward.
Challenge Tracks
Participants will build solutions under two innovation tracks, each supporting different onchain use cases.
Your project must be functional and deployed on Base.
🟦 Base Track
Build a Base Mini-App that elevates the onchain user experience.
Solve meaningful UX challenges:
- Complex DeFi processes
- Lack of social coordination
- Poor onboarding
- Limited accessibility for retail users
Leverage:
- Base L2 (fast, secure, low-cost)
- OnchainKit (plug-and-play UX)
- Base SDKs & tools
Integrate IDRX to be eligible for the Best Project (IDRX) bonus prize.
🟩 Thetanuts Track
Build a Thetanuts-powered DeFi application that makes options simple, accessible, and engaging for everyday users.
Focus on:
- Gamified and intuitive UI
- AI-powered onboarding
- Personalized strategy guidance
- Campaign-driven engagement loops (missions, streaks, instant rewards)
Use Thetanuts Finance infrastructure to deliver a retail-friendly onchain DeFi experience.
Who Should Join
This hackathon is for:
- Indonesian Web3 builders & startup teams (1–5 members)
- Teams with a working MVP or prototype
- Projects deployed or ready to deploy on Base
- Teams preparing for GTM or early growth
- Builders who want to ship something real—not just ideate

- Selection is made solely by the Base Team, based on project quality and team execution
- Time slots depend on Network School’s scheduling availability
- All decisions are final and non-negotiable

Shortlisted teams will pitch live; winners announced on the same day.
Submission Requirements
To qualify, your submission must include:
- One project per track per team
- Functional MVP or demo already deployed on Base
- Public GitHub repository
- Demo video (≥1 minute: intro → problem → solution → demo)
- Proof of deployment on Base
- Roadmap & detailed team information
Evaluation Criteria
Judges will evaluate based on:
✔ Product Readiness
A real, working MVP—not ideation.
✔ Technical Execution
Depth of Base integration, smart contracts, and implementation.
✔ Market Fit & GTM
Target users, adoption strategy, and growth potential.
✔ Ecosystem Impact
Contribution to Base ecosystem and user growth.
✔ Team Capability
Execution strength, speed, and ability to iterate.
