**Base** is a builder-first Ethereum Layer-2 designed to make onchain development fast, affordable, and consumer-ready. It replaces traditional high-cost execution with:

- Optimistic rollups delivering secure, low-fee (~$0.01) transactions anchored to Ethereum
- Onchain-first tooling, including mini-apps, smart wallets, intents, and seamless UX through OnchainKit
- A Coinbase-backed ecosystem with deep liquidity and strong infrastructure support for DeFi, social, gaming, and AI-native apps
- Composable primitives such as bridges, oracles, SDKs, and cross-chain frameworks that enable rich, interconnected experiences

**Problem**

Onchain applications still struggle to reach mainstream adoption due to limited social coordination, unintuitive payments, and fragmented user experiences. Across social, gaming, AI, and finance, users commonly face:
- Isolated interactions with minimal social context or collaboration
- Friction-heavy onboarding that is difficult for non-technical users
- A lack of AI-driven guidance and smart wallet automation to simplify key actions
- Interfaces built for experts instead of offering simple, mobile-native, one-tap workflows
- Cumbersome cross-chain processes that break continuity and discourage engagement

These gaps prevent onchain apps from delivering the accessible, coordinated, consumer-grade experiences modern users expect.

**Objective**

Build a Base Mini-App that showcases what is possible on Base by combining low-cost transactions, strong UX, and composable infrastructure. Projects may include:
- Social coordination tools
- DeFi or payments experiences
- AI-powered agents and automation

- Consumer onchain apps that feel fast, intuitive, and mobile-first

**Problem**

Despite the growth of onchain derivatives, options remain difficult for everyday users. Current platforms face several issues:
- Options trading is too complex, with advanced terminology and multi-step workflows
- High onboarding friction causes users to drop off before placing their first trade
- Lack of gamified or interactive UX, making derivatives feel intimidating and inaccessible
- No AI-driven guidance to help users choose strategies or understand risk profiles
- These barriers prevent retail users from accessing high-upside, hedging, and yield strategies that should be available to everyone.

**Objective**

Build experiences on top of Thetanuts V4 that simplify options and make them enjoyable to use. Ideal projects include:
- Gamified frontends that repackage options into intuitive, fun, mobile-native interfaces
- AI agents that guide users, explain strategies, and recommend customized options flows
- Campaign-based engagement loops with missions, instant rewards, and user progression
- New structured payoff products leveraging event-driven architecture
- Any novel UI, product, or integration powered by the Thetanuts V4 infrastructure

**Builder Grants**
Projects that meet all requirements are eligible for builder grants:
- 20 USDC per team
- Capped at 20 teams

Requirements:
- Functional frontend design
- Clear strategic direction for how grant funds will be used
- Completion of the request form: (Google Form provided in the track brief)
